TWO men from Ringwood and Verwood and two Ferndown teenagers have been arrested and electrical cable seized.

Police are now appealing the public’s help to track down the owner of the cable, and an inverter seized at the same time.

The inverter – an electrical device that converts direct current to alternating current – and copper cable were recovered after the four were arrested in Wimborne on Sunday, December 19.

Police Constable Katie Savill, of Poole Detained Persons Unit, said: “It is important that I establish how the inverter and cable came to be in the men’s possession.

“I am appealing to the owner of the property to get in touch as soon as possible.

“It’s quite possible that the owner has not yet realised that it is missing.”

The arrested men – two from Ferndown aged 15 and 18, a 24-year-old from Verwood and 49-year-old from Ringwood – have been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
