TWO teenage girls are aiming to shoot to supermodel stardom as they bid to follow in the footsteps of Kate Moss.

Chislehurst cracker Tanya Brennand-Roper, 16, and St Paul's Cray stunner Victoria Battmann, 13, have reached regional modelling finals, beating off competition from thousands of other entrants.

Both contests are organised by Storm, model agency of super-waif Kate Moss and Wonderbra babe Eva Herzigova.

Victoria is a pupil at Beaverwood Girls' School. She will attend the East of England regional final of the Highland Spring Face contest at the Hilton Hotel in Stanstead, Essex, on August 4.

But Tanya - a student at Stratford House, Bromley - appears at the South of England regional final at the De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton three days later.

The duo - who don't know each other - could meet up at the grand final of the contest in London on September 16 when tycoon Richard Branson will be among the judges.

Tanya said: "I was actually astonished when I was told I had been chosen. I didn't know about it. My mum sent off photos while I was revising for my GCSEs. I didn't believe her at first."

Victoria said: "My mum entered me for the competition because she knew I wanted to do it. I'm really pleased I've been chosen and can't wait for the day to come.

"My hero is Kate Moss. She's got really nice features and she's very pretty."

Her aunt, Catherine Hodges, said: "Our family are very proud. It's quite fantastic news. She has a very unusual look and I think that's why they chose her."

A year's contract with Storm Model management worth up to £50,000 is the prize for the overall winner, plus cash, clothes and vouchers.
