THERE has been a lot of interest in the proposed plan for Queen Elizabeth Gardens in your letters pages.

SPARSE debate has taken place about the English Heritage proposals for siting a temporary Stonehenge visitor centre ready for 2012. I believe £20m is to be spent on this, after decades and £37m of wasted effort for absolutely nothing.

FOR the past few years I have run the crime prevention clinic of Durrington Parish Council. We always try and resolve issues bought to us for discussion and the committee has worked hard to address community problems including the subject of antisocial behaviour.

Stonehenge work must start as soon as possible

The Stonehenge area is dogged by a clogged up major road, spoiling what should be a world class site, and by a visitor centre that is, at best, lacklustre.
