THE festive lights were on, Father Christmas was in attendance and there was music and entertainment for all to enjoy at the biggest social event in the Tisbury calendar.
People gathered to enjoy the village’s Tiz the Season celebrations on December 1, with a new £5,000 canopy of lights across the market place at the bottom of the High Street made possible by fundraising through the year.
And there were more new lights on the Christmas Tree outside the Bennett Bar, which Santa officially switched on in the afternoon.
Villagers could then enjoy the quirky stalls of the Anonymous Travelling Market, activities for children run by St John’s School and music provided by the Shaftesbury Silver Band and local carol singers.
