IF you’re looking for a new challenge in 2013 or making a New Year’s resolution to get fit the Stars Appeal is looking for someone to run the London Marathon.

Salisbury District Hospital’s charity has a silver bond guaranteed place in the 2013 marathon and is looking for an enthusiastic runner and fundraiser to take up the challenge.

If there is a ward or department of the hospital that means a lot to you and have the energy and enthusiasm to raise sponsorship while training, complete an application form, which is available from the Stars Appeal on 01722 429005 or info@starsappeal.org.

The charity also wants to hear from people who already have a place and want to run to support their local hospital. Stars Appeal runners get a fundraising pack with advice on how to raise funds and a Stars Appeal t-shirt.

The appeal is currently raising funds for several projects including a therapeutic garden for cancer and stroke patients, providing state-of-the-art heated cots for the Neonatal Unit so babies can be transferred out of incubators sooner and improving care for teenagers and young adults of the hospital’s Pembroke Cancer and Blood Disorder Unit.
