Slimming group posters 'littering' Amesbury

POSTERS for slimming groups and fitness centres have been “littering” the centre of Amesbury according to the town council.
Roger Fisher told his fellow councillors at a meeting held last Tuesday: “These posters are everywhere, on lampposts and stuck up all over the town.
“It is an offence. There are several legitimate ways to advertise a business but fly-posting is not one of them.”
The council resolved to write to the companies involved asking them to remove the posters and said enforcement action could be taken as fly-posting is illegal.
