POLICE are appealing for information after a 23-year-old man was assaulted in Salisbury.

The victim was walking in the area of Queen Elizabeth Gardens and the Town Path at about 4.45am on December 22 when he was approached by two men and a woman.

One of the men punched the victim in the face in an unprovoked attack and it is thought that both men then punched and kicked the victim.

He was able to get away without injury and the men and woman ran off towards Harnham.

The first man is described as white, aged about 19, about 6ft tall and of skinny build. He had short black scruffy hair and a large piercing in his ear. He was wearing a black jacket and cream chinos.

The second man is described as white, in his early 20s, of medium build with short hair. He was wearing a blue jacket and jeans.

The woman is described as white, also aged in her early 20s and of large build. She was wearing a jumper dress, leggings and boots.
