WREATHS placed at the War Memorial in Salisbury’s Guildhall Square will be removed by the Royal British Legion at 11am next Thursday (January 25).
Anyone wishing to collect their own personal wreath is asked to do so prior to the removal date.
The Poppy Appeal collection for the inner city of Salisbury raised £24,278, which £2,000 down on last year due to Wiltshire Council’s change in street collection policy.
Rather than collecting over seven days, collectors were only allowed to collect on two days.
Peter Maffey of the Salisbury RBL branch said: “We would like to thank everyone who helped with this year’s Poppy Appeal.”
