Having a BLAST! with Downton Band
YOUNG and old alike came along to try out their skills on the trumpet, trombone and tuba and have a BLAST! with Downton Band.
The band is now a nationally-ranked Second Section Brass Band, so members decided to work on and improve what was formally Downton Training Band with the new name Downton Jubilee Brass.
The BLAST! Event, held at The Trafalgar School at Downton on Sunday gave anyone who fancied having a go the chance to come along and get to grips with a variety of different instruments to see if they would like to join.
Anyone is welcome to join the band, from seasoned players to those with no experience at all.
