Snow causes disruption across south Wiltshire
9:16am Friday 18th January 2013 in News By Morwenna Blake
SNOW is causing widespread disruption across south Wiltshire this morning, with problems on the roads and schools closed across the area.
The heavy snowfall is predicted to continue through the morning.
South West Trains has said there will be no service between Salisbury and Bristol Temple Meads all day and First Great Western is advising travellers to check before setting off.
Wiltshire Council gritters have been out salting main roads but a section of the A303 has been closed from Beacon Hill to Countess Roundabout and there are problems in East Knoyle where it is reported HGVs are struggling to get up hills.
Police are advising people to avoid unnecessary journeys.
