Mum to trek to Machu Picchu for children's charity

AN army wife from Larkhill is preparing for a 10-day charity trek through the Peruvian rainforest.
Samantha McWilliams, 37, is taking on the trek to Machu Picchu in July in aid of Childreach International.
Mrs McWilliams, who has five children, said: “There are children all over the world who live in deprived areas and have no access - or in some cases knowledge - of education, healthcare or basic facilities like water and access to food.
“The charity attempts, and succeeds, to give them a chance to live healthy lives and become educated enough to make sure that the support provided continues.”
Mrs McWilliams has organised a fundraising night with medium Peter Steedman at The Packhorse pub in Larkhill on Saturday (Feb 2) from 7pm to 9pm.
Tickets cost £10 and there will be a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.
