New Scout group planned

A NEW Scout group could be set up in Old Sarum following a successful open evening last Monday.

Families from Old Sarum and surrounding communities were invited to attend the meeting to find out more about what Scouting has to offer. Thirty children took part in a range of fun activities including parachute games and toasting marshmallows.

Dave Waspe, a local Scout volunteer manager, said: “At the moment there isn’t a Scout group at Old Sarum but some of the other groups in the area are full, which means lots of young people not being able to join in the fun, so we wanted to find out how many children might be interested if we opened a new group.”
