Children's Society needs more volunteers

THE Children’s Society shop in Salisbury is in need of more volunteers who are able to give up a few hours a week to help raise money for disadvantaged children.
The funds raised through the charity’s shops, including one in Crane Street, helps it to campaign on many issues and supports its programmes of work with children facing poverty, abuse and neglect.
Retail operations manager Tina Fellstrom said: “Our volunteers are the cornerstone of our work. Without their selfless dedication, our work to create a better life for the most disadvantaged children would be impossible. Whether it’s a few hours a day or a couple of days a week, their contribution is invaluable.”
