Award for Whiteparish Youth Group
A VILLAGE youth group has been recognised for the good work being done for and by young people.
The Whiteparish Youth Group has been given the Affiliated Project of the Year award by Youth Options, and the committee and parent helpers attended a ceremony in Winchester last week to pick up the £250 prize money.
The group opened last year and provides a place for young people from 11 upwards in the village to go to meet their friends and have fun in a safe environment as well as offering activities such as a graffiti workshop held on Friday.
The group meets every Friday in the village hall from 7pm.
