FUEL was leaked all over a Salisbury road when a vandal drilled into a car’s petrol tank last week.
Wiltshire Police are investigating the incident of criminal damage, which happened between 5.40pm last Wednesday and 8.10am the following morning in a car park off Devizes Road.
PC Richard Chula of Salisbury Police said: “This very dangerous action caused all the fuel to leak out.
“In order to drill the tank the offender would have to have been very close underneath the vehicle.
“Not only did they risk their own life, but also put everyone nearby in danger as the fumes alone could easily ignite.”
