Thieves drill into fuel tank

VANDALS drilled into a fuel tank of a car in Salisbury last week, in the second incident of its kind in the city in recent weeks.

The incident happened between 8.30pm on Monday and midday on Wednesday, when offenders stole £20 of fuel and caused about £400 worth of damage to a car parked off Lower Road in Lower Bemerton.

The first incident was between February 20 and 21 in a car park off Devizes Road, when a vehicle was damaged but no fuel was taken.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Alan Cromwell at Salisbury Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
