Caravan site plans to go before committee

PLANS relating to a campsite in Salisbury are set to go before councillors today.

Wiltshire Council’s southern area planning committee will consider three applications relating to Stonehenge Campsite, Berwick Road, near Berwick St James.

Previous applications in relation to the site have faced opposition from people living nearby, and the latest proposals have prompted letters of objection.

Plans include installing temporary buildings to be used as toilets and wash blocks and for two caravan pitches to be occupied by site wardens.

The meeting will be held at 6pm at the City Hall.
