WORK being done by Wiltshire Police to combat domestic abuse in the county has won praise from the Prime Minister.

David Cameron commended the work being done by the force during a pilot of domestic violence protection orders which give police the power to exclude offenders from the home of victims.

Mr Cameron spoke following a speech by Devizes MP Claire Perry in the House of Commons on Wednesday on the plight of victims of domestic abuse.
