MOTORCYCLISTS belonging to the Salisbury Motorcycle & Light Car Club took part in a 70-mile ride for charity at the weekend.

The group, which set of from the Salisbury Livestock Market on Sunday morning, stopped for lunch at the Royal Oak in Corsley Heath and then tea and cake at the end of run in Steeple Langford.

Founded in 1921, the club organises events to raise money for a different charity each year.

This year it is supporting The Bike Experience, a charity founded by paralympian and paraplegic motorcycle racer Talam Skeels-Piggins, which helps disabled motorcyclists to ride a motorcycle again in a controlled safe environment.

The Five Valleys Run raised around £150.
