Air Ambulance seeks trustees
WILTSHIRE Air Ambulance is looking to recruit two new trustees to its board.
The air ambulance became an independent charitable trust with a board of trustees drawn from the local community in October 2011 and has been busy since then preparing for the challenges it will face in 2015 when its partnership with Wiltshire Police ends and the air ambulance has to meet the full cost of the airborne medical response service.
The trust is looking for people with marketing, fundraising or financial backgrounds who live in Wiltshire, and would particularly like to hear from women and candidates from the south of the county as they are currently under-represented on the board.
Charity vice-chairman Mandy Clarke said: “We have made amazing progress over the past 18 months and as part of our on-going development we now want to enhance the skill set. We already have a very talented group of Wiltshire people involved at board level but would welcome any interest from people with marketing, fundraising or financial backgrounds.”
The board meets monthly in Devizes and all the trustees also sit on at least one committee. Anyone who wishes to be considered for one of these unremunerated positions should send a CV and covering letter to CEO David Philpott at firstname.lastname@example.org by 5pm on August 30.
