Riding centre raises money for hospice
THE Friends of Grovely Riding Centre raised more than £1,000 for the Salisbury Hospice Charity through a fancy dress and jumping competition.
The centre’s annual competition raised money in memory of Laura Bishop, who died of cancer earlier this year. Her father, Mark, keeps his horse Cracker at the stables.
Gerry Dunne and Sue Curtis, who run the centre, wanted to do something to raise money for the hospice that took care of Laura before she died. Mr Bishop said: “It was a lovely day, thank you to everyone for their support.”
