Siblings skydive in memory of brother
A BROTHER and sister from Salisbury are doing a charity skydive next month in memory of their brother.
Daniel Boxall, 23, and his sister Stevie, 26, are taking to the skies on September 15 in memory of their brother Jamie, who died in a car crash in Amesbury Road at the age of 17.
The skydive, at Old Sarum Airfield, is also part of a world record attempt to have the most skydives taking place at the same place.
The siblings, who both work at Savills estate agents and have part time jobs at Charter 1227, are hosting a charity dinner at the restaurant on September 5.
There will also be auctions, a quiz and a raffle with a number of prizes donated by local businesses, including two-month gym membership at Parkwood, a one-night stay at The Cathedral Hotel, a hob, oven and extractor fan package from Howdans, a bottle of champagne from The Chapel Nightclub, a hair cut from Hans hairdressers and travel bags from JAS Hair.
The pair have already raised about £700 by selling ice creams at works and holding competitions but they are hoping to raise much more.
Miss Boxall raised £4,000 for the charity when she did a skydive just after her brother’s death, nearly seven years ago.
All funds raised by the charity events will be donated to cancer charity CLIC Sargent.
Tickets for three-course charity dinner cost £25 and are available from Miss Boxall on 07500 936024.
