PCC to hold meeting in city
THE Police and Crime Commissioner is inviting people in Salisbury to a public performance meeting in the city on September 10.
Those who attend the meeting, to be held at the Red Lion Hotel in Milford Street, will be able to learn more about the performance of Wiltshire Police.
PCC Angus Macpherson said: “As commissioner it is my responsibility to ensure that there is an efficient and effective police service in the area. This includes scrutinising and informing the public about how well Wiltshire Police is performing.
“I am also commissioning other organisations to help achieve my main priorities, and at this Salisbury meeting we will be giving an update on plans for Neighbourhood Justice Panels being rolled out across Wiltshire and Swindon - this is a restorative justice project that I’m supporting through my Innovation Fund.”
Mr Macpherson is due to be joined at the meeting by Wiltshire Police Deputy Chief Constable Mike Veale. There will also be a question and answer session.
The meeting will begin at 5.30pm, with refreshments available from 5pm.
