A small gift to charity can make a big difference
WILTSHIRE Wildlife Trust is asking people to consider donating to the charity in their will.
Gifts in wills can be vital to the work the trust does and even small amounts can make a real difference - £250 could buy 100 native tree or hedge saplings to provide new habitats, £500 could buy equipment for children’s conservation activities and £1,000 could train volunteers to help with vital work on the trust’s reserves.
Membership manager Michele Gard said: “According to recent market research, 35 per cent of people say they would consider including a gift to charity after providing for their family and friends in their will, yet only seven per cent actually do so.
“We are keen to remind our supporters, and everyone in Wiltshire, to remember the trust when making their will. No matter how large or how small, every penny helps us to protect Wiltshire’s wonderful wildlife.”
