Salisbury Manor opens
SALISBURY’S first luxury care home was officially opened on Thursday.
Designed to resemble a boutique hotel, Salisbury Manor care home in Wilton Road was opened by Mayor Penny Brown at a vintage fair-themed event.
Members of the public enjoyed live music, fairground games, sweet and cake stalls as well as a little local history with tours of the new care home, which was formerly called Llangarren House in the 1800s.
Cllr Brown said: “The facilities here are fantastic and the atmosphere is very warm and friendly. It’s so important to provide excellent care for older people and I want to wish Salisbury Manor all the very best in their efforts to achieve this.”
The care home combines boutique hotel interior design with leading edge dementia and innovative specialist care facilities and services. It will include a luxurious hair and beauty spa, a nail bar, a chic café, a library and will have wi-fi access throughout the home.
Manager Claire Lousteau said: “Salisbury Manor will offer the highest quality of personalised care in a luxury environment and we look forward to welcoming our new residents and finding out the tiny details about their fascinating lives.
“We want to say thank you to everyone in the local community who have made this care home possible and also to welcome new friends and neighbours.”
