Deadline for schools' market competition is extended
3:43pm Monday 7th October 2013 in News
CHILDREN have been given more time to design a picture board for Salisbury’s Christmas market.
All primary schools in the area are invited to submit entries on the subject of Why We Love Christmas, for the chance of winning £250, and organisers have decided to extend the deadline by four weeks until October 31.
The board must be landscape shape, measuring no more than 2.5m by 1.5m, and the design will then be photographed and printed onto a Foamex board. Signs in Motion, which has donated the prize money, will print the boards for a small charge.
The six winning entries will be displayed at this year’s Christmas market, and the winner will be announced during the official opening ceremony on November 28.
All schools entering the competition will be awarded a What On Earth? History Wallbook.
To enter, contact Stephanie Swann on firstname.lastname@example.org, for an application form.
