DONATIONS towards a scheme to help elderly people in Wiltshire are being match funded as part of the national Grow Your Tenner campaign.
Community First, a charity that aims to strengthen communities, is urging people to donate to the county’s Good Neighbour Service.
Localgiving, a fundraising website for small, local charities, is offering to give away £500,000 in match funding as part of the Grow Your Tenner campaign.
Single donations of up to £10 will be match-funded and new monthly donations will be doubled up to £10 a month for six months.
The Good Neighbour Service is run in partnership with Age UK Wiltshire and supported by Wiltshire Council to help connect vulnerable elderly people with the services they need.
Good Neighbour coordinators visit clients in their own home to discuss their needs and identify which organisations can help.
