Bungalows in Woodfalls garden would be 'inappropriate'
TWO new bungalows in the garden of a house along The Ridge in Woodfalls have been refused planning permission.
Willton Homes Limited applied for permission to build homes in the garden of Ridgeside, which is just outside the New Forest National Park boundary, along with a new garage.
It also applied for works to be carried out to the existing house to allow for a new driveway to be put in. The plans were submitted after a previous application to build three houses on the land was refused last year.
But permission was refused by Wiltshire Council’s southern area planning committee at a meeting in Salisbury on Thursday after local people expressed concerns that it was “inappropriate back land development” that would set a precedent in the area.
Concerns were also raised about the layout of the development and the impact it would have on neighbouring properties and on road safety.
