Sign up for life-saving Heartstart classes
LOOKING after your heart is vital, and two courses in Salisbury are offering help and support in ways that are different but both life-saving.
Happy Hearts is a cardiac rehabilitation exercise class for people who have been through any sort of cardiac or pulmonary issue as well as those who want to take preventative measures.
Salli Grant runs the classes at location across the area, including Salisbury, Amesbury and Shaftesbury, teaching people how best to care for their health.
Anyone is welcome – the oldest class member is 91, the youngest 18.
And Mrs Grant recommends the Heartstart classes organised in Salisbury by David Dymond, himself a heath attack survivor.
Heartstart is a class that teaches people how they can save a life in an emergency, including the use of a defibrillator.
Mrs Grant said: “I went along to David’s class because I wanted to update my CPR knowledge, and it was the best CPR training course I’ve been on.
“It’s not a humorous subject but it’s done with humour. And it’s done at a good pace – some of the standard classes can move a bit quickly.”
The next Heartstart class will be at St Elizabeth Hall, Exeter Street, on Tuesday, November 12 at 7pm. To book a place email email@example.com.
