FOUR cars crashed on the A303 during rush hour on Wednesday, causing long delays in the area.
A BMW, a Toyota, a Mazda and a Ford Fiesta were involved in the incident near Cholderton at 5.15pm.
A female driver was taken to Salisbury District Hospital by land ambulance with injuries described as serious but not life-threatening.
The road was closed in both directions in case an air ambulance was required to land.
The vehicles were all recovered by 9pm and the road was reopened in both directions.
