A GROUP of staff from Screwfix have raised £3,600 by climbing Mount Snowdon.

Staff from Salisbury joined colleagues from across the south west to take on the challenge in aid of the Screwfix Foundation, a charity that supports projects that fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and facilities for those in need.

The 13-strong team took three hours to climb to the summit on November 27, and it took them two-and-a-half hours to descend.

Andy Muir, area manager, said: “I’m over the moon that we’ve raised so much money for the Screwfix Foundation. It was a tough but enjoyable and rewarding experience and I am so proud of the team.

“We all supported each other throughout the challenge to make sure everyone finished the climb. I would like to thank some very generous customers, friends and family who helped us raised an awesome £3,600 for the Foundation.’’ For more information about the foundation, visit screwfixfoundation.com.
