PRETTY pooches and well-behaved woofers are being invited to show the canine community what they’re made of and raise money for two great causes at the same time.

A charity dog show – offering something for everyone with eight classes to compete in – is being held at South Hill School in Wilton on December 28 from 9.30am.

And there will be bacon butties, cakes and hot drinks for sale, as well as a raffle.

The classes, which include best veteran, waggiest tail and fancy dress, will be judged by local canine professionals Caroline Spencer of Pure Dog Listeners, Amanda Freeman and Michelle Ditton of Paw Pals Salisbury, local dog trainer Joyce Jones and Jo Blake from the Dogs Trust.

Organisers Imogen Dive and Zoe Peters are raising money for the MS Trust, in memory of Miss Dive’s grandmother Marina Cochran, and Help for Heroes, as Miss Peters is raising sponsorship to cycle 300 miles across Vietnam in aid of the charity next year.

It is £2 entry per class in advance or £3 on the day. There is no entry fee into the show ground. Email Imogen_dive@hotmail.co.uk to request a schedule.
