A CHOIR in Salisbury is aiming to inspire a generation to learn sign language during a national deaf healthcare charity’s annual fundraising event in February.

The Salisbury branch of Rock Choir is getting involved in SignHealth’s sign2sing record attempt for the most people signing and singing in the same day. Natasha Willis, Salisbury Rock Choir’s leader, said: “During the event all of our members will sing and sign True Colours by Cyndi Lauper. Learning to sign as well as sing will add a new and very interesting element to the song and we’re all really excited about the challenge.”

The charity is hoping to break its own record for the fourth time and involve more than 150,000 people. To find out more about taking part in the record attempt, register at sign2sing.org.uk.
