TWO shops in Tidworth were targeted by burglars last week.

The lock on the rear door of the Sue Ryder charity shop in Station Road was broken between 3pm on Saturday, December 28 and 9am on Monday, December 30, but the would-be thieves failed to get in. A shed behind the premises was also broken into but nothing was stolen.

The Marc Adams hair salon was targeted within the same time frame. The offenders smashed a window and took cash and two Matrix Vavoom freezing sprays.

The local neighbourhood policing team is carrying out extra patrols in the area.

Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area or has information about the burglaries is asked to contact Tidworth Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
