Hospice charity chief executive moves on
SALISBURY Hospice Charity is saying goodbye to its chief executive.
Sara Morley, the first chief executive for the charity, is leaving to set up her own business. She said “It has been both a pleasure and a privilege to work with such an amazing and committed group of people. While I am sad to be leaving I will, of course, continue to volunteer when I can.”
Chairman of the charity, Ceri Hurford-Jones, said “On behalf of the trustees and staff I can say that we are sorry to see Sara go. We are all very grateful for all her hard work over the last three years and wish her well in her new venture.”
Salisbury Hospice Charity needs to raise more than £1.5m a year to enable the hospice to provide physical, spiritual, social and emotional support to patients, their families and carers.
The hospice is the only provider of specialist palliative care in the local community and helps up to 1,000 people every year offering advice and support to people in their own homes as well as in the purpose built inpatient unit, which can accommodate up to 10 patients at any one time.
