A RADIOLOGIST from Salisbury District Hospital has retired after 27 years of dedicated service.

Roger Frost, of Gigant Street, Salisbury left his post as a consultant radiologist, specialising in interventional, gastrointestinal and abdominal radiology, on Friday.

The 65-year-old said his farewells at a leaving party last week, which was attended by chief executive Peter Hill, who said: “Roger has worked as a consultant radiologist in Salisbury for more than 27 years and in that time he has made an invaluable contribution to the hospital, our patients and the local community.

“He has been at the forefront of many of the changes and improvements we have made in diagnostic services over the years. Personable and well liked by his colleagues, I know Roger will be missed. We wish him well for a long and happy retirement.”

Dr Frost grew up in Lyndhurst and studied medicine at London Hospital Medical College.

He plans to enjoy his retirement with his family and friends, and to do more sailing.
