CHARLIE Bucket, Willy Wonka and a host of oompa loompas filled the stage at Chafyn Grove School last week as the children brought Roald Dahl’s classic book to life.
Directed by Emily Toomer, with Bently Cresswell taking on the part of Willy Wonka and Thomas Newton playing Charlie Bucket, the show saw the rest of the cast dressed on a purple theme to reflect the packaging of Cadbury’s chocolate.
The oompa loompas gave sterling support with a variety of songs and dances.
Deputy Headteacher Katie Walker said: “It was a feast for the eyes and even for the nose, as the hall even smelled of sweets.”
