A RUNNER is taking on a triathlon adventure race to raise money for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

Tom Stokes took up running after suffering a heart attack in 2005, completing his first half marathon in Bath. He said he was “bitten by the running bug” and has since completed events in Barcelona, Budapest, Jersey and New Zealand.

Mr Stokes will be competing in the Rat Race City to Summit triathlon on May 31.

It includes swimming under the Forth Road Bridge at Queensferry, cycling from Edinburgh to Glencoe in the Highlands, and a 27-mile run from there to Fort William, including the ascent and descent of Ben Nevis. To sponsor Mr Stokes, visit justgiving.com/tomthepostie-citytosummit.
