A PERFORMANCE of Jack and the Beanstalk was enjoyed by all ages at Mere Primary School.
Treehouse Theatre presented the show, which was made possible by a grant from The Henry Hoare Trust Fund.
It was organised by Anne Rich, a tutor at Ivers House in Marnhull, a care and support centre for adults with learning disabilities.
The audience of young adults from Ivers House, youngsters and their parents from Mere Toddler Group, and all the children at Mere School and pre-school, played an active part.
They took on a variety of roles from beans and dancing rats to a family of Mexican farmers, and the show finished with a sing-along to Roar by Katie Perry.
Catriona Williamson, Mere School headteacher, said: “The children had a fantastic time. It was wonderful to hear them all singing in the corridor as they made their way back to their classrooms. We are so grateful to Mrs Rich and her students for organising the event.”
