STARGAZERS are being invited along to an Evening of Stargazing at the Museum of Army Flying in Middle Wallop.

The event will allow visitors to learn more about the night sky and the amazing planets in our solar system.

Alan Dowdell, former chairman of the Andover Astronomical Society and a well-known speaker on astronomical topics and a member of the BAA council will be giving a talk on Observing the Planets.

And Paul Curtis from the Andover Astronomy Society will be overseeing the evening and answering any questions.

If the skies are clear there will be a wonderful opportunity to observe Jupiter which will be high in this sky and a half moon.

Using the telescopes is weather permitting as it requires a clear night. If cloudy, visitors will still be able to see telescopes brought along by the Andover Astronomical Society.

Tickets for the event, on Saturday, March 8, are £6.
