STUDENTS at Bishop Wordsworth’s School in Salisbury had the chance to put questions to Wiltshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner on Friday.

Angus Macpherson visited the school to be interviewed for its Wordsworth magazine by Ben Scott-Stacey and James Marriott, both 16.

They asked about his Meet the Commissioner event on Thursday evening, why he had sought a small increase in the police and crime element of council tax (and how the money will be spent), how the police deal with car thefts and why he had commissioned a public opinion survey.

Mr Macpherson said: "They had done their homework and had some good, relevant questions to put to me. I look forward to seeing their story in the Wordsworth magazine."
