A NEW vintage Christmas fair is to be held this year.

Following the success of last September’s vintage market in the Guildhall Square, Salisbury City Council has announced three new dates for 2014 as well as the Christmas event in the Guildhall in December.

The vintage markets will be on March 28, June 27 and September 26 from 11am to 7pm in the Guildhall Square. At the first market will be Tarte Au Citroen, serving homemade cakes, muffins and coffee from a Citroen van, and Sandy Ince from Sticky Jazz will be performing throughout the day.

The Very Vintage Christmas Fair in the Guildhall will be held on Sunday, December 7 from 10am to 4pm and will offer a selection of vintage stalls from across the south.

Business manager for Salisbury City Council Claire Burden said: “Last September’s Vintage Market was extremely busy and a great day of entertainment in the Guildhall Square. We hope to build on that success and encourage more sellers to get involved.”

Stalls are available at £45 per pitch for the vintage markets and £50 per pitch for the Christmas fair, with discounts for multiple bookings. Apply at salisburycitycouncil.gov.uk or call 01722 342860.
