POPULAR Salisbury singer Jamie Eldridge has appeared in best-selling magazine Teen Now.

Eldridge’s picture was printed on the inside back cover of the magazine after he received the most votes from fans on social media.

“I was amazed and honoured to have been chosen as the winner of the Poster Power competition, which meant I had the most votes out of all the other celebrities who had been entered into the competition,” said Eldridge.

“I could hardly believe it when the editor of the magazine got in touch with me with the news. To have a full page photo and a small write up in the same magazine as the likes of One Direction, Union J, Olly Murs, The Wanted, Jessie J and Little Mix is an amazing feeling.”

The 18-year-old singer/songwriter also recently took part in celebrity football tournament Soccer Six at London Soccer Dome.

“Once again it was an awesome experience to have been involved in, and meeting and sharing the pitch with so many television celebrities,” he said.

“I know I’ve got a long way to go in the pursuit of achieving my dream of becoming an accomplished singer/songwriter but these little steps forward have been a massive incentive and encourage me to keep going until my dream becomes reality.”

Eldridge is now getting ready for the regional final of a national singing competition called Teen Star, which takes place on Sunday.
