A NEW women’s cycling group is being launched in Salisbury. Breeze bike rides offer the chance to take part in group cycle rides to increase fitness and encourage participation in the activity.
Hilary Webber and Alice Henry, Salisbury’s local Breeze champions, said: “Breeze bike rides are perfect for helping women get out and about in a fun and informal way. We’re here to support you and as our rides are centred around the social side of riding a bike, there’s never a dull moment.”
The first Salisbury Breeze ride takes place on Saturday at 3pm from Five Rivers Leisure Centre.
It will be an easy going 10-mile ride around the Woodford Valley.
All you need is a bike, and Breeze offers pre-ride cycle safety advice, assistance with punctures, and first aid en route if required. Subsequent rides in April from Five Rivers are to the Woodfords, Highpost and Winterbournes (14 miles) on Saturday, April 12 at 3pm and a 10-mile Woodford Valley Loop on Saturday, April 26.
