FOUR members of staff at a Salisbury surgery celebrated more than 65 years’ of service between them at a special retirement party.

The quartet said their goodbyes at Bemerton Heath Surgery in Pembroke Road and were given gifts by their patients.

Practice nurse Fran Moody and cleaner Wendy Few started in 1990 and are the practice’s longest serving members. GP John Jameson joined the surgery in 2002 and manager Nicky Scammell started in 2008.

Dr Christine Baker said: “They have all contributed so much to the surgery over the years, showing unwavering commitment and dedication to the patients. They will all be missed so much, but we wish them a happy and well deserved retirement.”

She thanked patients for the generous gifts to the retiring staff.

The surgery will continue to serve Bemerton Heath and is merging with Salisbury Medical Practice to become a branch surgery.
