A DONKEY joined a procession through Salisbury at the weekend to mark Palm Sunday.
The procession travelled from St Thomas’s Church, round to the Guildhall Square and Market Place before travelling back along the river through the Maltings to the church.
Lots of families went along to join in the fun and more than 40 children enjoyed special activities at Sunday school, including making donkey masks and palm leaves.
Abbi Jones, the church’s young families worker, said: “The idea was to recreate more of the Palm Sunday story to get families to understand what it was about. The church was heaving; it was a really good, busy Sunday.”
