SALISBURY Reds bus company will be in the Guidhall square tomorrow as part of Catch the Bus Week.
The operator will be raising awareness of the benefits of taking the bus, particularly among those who don’t normally use public transport. And anyone visiting Guildhall Square on Tuesday will have the chance to travel for free in a ticket giveaway.
“Two thirds of the nation’s public transport journeys are made by bus - and studies show that travelling in this way is a third less stressful than by car,” said Salisbury Reds communications manager, Nikki Honer.
“Catch the Bus Week gives us an excellent opportunity to highlight the many benefits of leaving the car at home and journeying with Salisbury Reds.”
Catch the Bus Week 2014 is an initiative from Greener Journeys - a national campaign for the modal shift from car to bus and coach.
It is an alliance of UK bus and coach companies and wider stakeholders - including Passenger Transport Executives, passenger and bus user groups, local authorities, business groups and environmental groups.
