JAGUARS, Daimlers, MGs and all sorts of other cars could be seen at a classic car event held by Bodytech in Salisbury at the weekend.

The firm held the Restoration Classic Car meeting at its Netherhampton Road site on Saturday, with 75 cars on show, from a 1932 Sunbeam to a 1943 US army vehicle.

Bodytech director Andy Downes said: “It was great. It rained on Friday and Sunday, so we got the sunshine in between. Everything went very well.”

It is the third year the event has been held, and this year Bodytech was highlighting its new venture, which will see it opening a restoration site at Bratch Lane in Dinton next week.

“Bodytech has been here for 20 years and we have always done the restoration here but we have outgrown the site so we are moving to additional premises for that side of the business.”

The new business will open on Tuesday, with body shop and service work still being done from Netherhampton Road.

Mr Downes will be partnered in the new venture by Robert Tandy.
