WILTSHIRE Council has been spending £100,000 a year on printing agendas and reports for its various committees and task groups.
Now councillors are being offered iPads to use on official business to try to cut the cost and move towards paperless meetings.
They are being asked to choose between borrowing a 16gb iPad Air for their term of office, buying a larger one, with payments spread over several months, or using one they already own.
Papers will still be provided at meetings for the public and press.
