MUSIC students at Wiltshire College in Salisbury performed at the Solent Sound Festival on April 25.
The first year BTEC Level 3 diploma in music students performed 27 Club, which was based on well-known musicians who died at the age of 27, including Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse and Jimi Hendrix. The college was the only one to put forward a concept piece featuring all 19 first year BTEC students.
Other colleges chose to nominate individual bands.The judges, made up of industry professionals, described the performance as “magnificent”, “really well thought out”, and “totally professional in its execution”. They also said the course tutors should be commended for their knowledge and guidance.
